Top 5 Bullpens in MLB

1. Atlanta Braves- Craig Kimbrel is a beast. 1.61 ERA,15.7 K/9, 6.8 WAR combined over the last two years. He's as good as it gets. Add Venters, Walden, O' Flaherty, Gearrin, Avilan, and Martinez in the mix? Goodness gracious great balls of fire!

2. Tampa Bay Rays - Rodney's season seems unrepeatable, but he should still be good. McGee is someone you don't hear a lot about, but he'd be closing for most clubs. Peralta, Gomes, Ramos, Farnsworth, Hernandez provides plenty of depth.

3. Kansas City Royals - Maybe I'm a homer, but they a nice collection of young power arms. Holland could be an all star if he can reach 20 + saves by the break. Allowing Herrera to be available for high leverage spots in the 6th-8th, extending him for more than just 1 inning is the way to utilize him. Crow, also can be used similarly, he's just not as good. Collins, Coleman, Mendoza will do their part. Look for Donnie Joseph if they need an in house option as a loogy.

4. NY Yankees - Mo is back with a brand new invention. Well, maybe not, but his cutter isn't too shabby. David Robertson may very well be the best set-up guy in MLB. He could close for most clubs, but there is some believers that some guys just aren't cut by the right cloth to succeed in that role. Get the game to the 8th with a lead and I'd take my chances. Some of their 6th-7th inning guys aren't too shabby either. Logan, Chamberlain, Rapada, Aardsma? And don't forget that Phelps will be their swing man.

5. Oakland A's - . For all you fantasy owners, draft Ryan Cook. He has a good chance to stick as the closer. Balfour could land on the 15 day DL to begin the season, but regardless Cook may find an opportunity to close before seasons end. Simply put, he's just better than Balfour. Doolittle was really good last year and should be working a lot of high leverage situations in the 7th-8th this year. There's a lot of pressure on the bullpen, they have a lot of young starters that are unlikely able to carry a heavy workload. Billy Beane will likely deepen his pen in July to be able to keep his guys fresh down the stretch.
