I've been an Aaron Crow fan for a long time. Ever since he dominated at Mizzou, I've been a follower. And ever since then, I don't understand why he got moved to the bullpen. He dominated as a starter in college and was never given a legitimate shot in the big leagues. Regardless, Crow hasn't let that bother him and has done about as well as any reliever in the MLB.
However, every year that Crow has been with the Royals, the starting rotation has not been set in stone. And only once have we ever heard his name been mentioned as a candidate for a starting role. I would much rather give Aaron Crow his first chance rather than give Luke Hochevar another chance that he doesn't deserve. I know that Hochevar hasn't won that fifth spot yet, but I can guarantee on that fifth game of the season we will see #44 up on the bump once again. We can only hope he won't give up 7 runs in the first inning this year.
As for me, I would much rather see Aaron Crow getting his opportunity to shine in a starter's role this season.
