I had no idea he was even still playing. When he got his release I figured it was so he could try his hand at college football. He got called up by the Reds right after the beginning of the season and has appeared in 13 games (4 for 17 with 2 runs scored, 1 RBI, 3 BB, 1 SB, 1 CS, 6 K's).
While I doubt he ever amounts to a whole lot, it's amazing that DMGM couldn't have gotten a warm body or 2 for a guy that is able to get some playing time for a pennant contender.
Regardless, I'm very happy for D-Rob that he was able to get to the big leagues even if it wasn't with the Royals. He always seemed like a pretty nice guy the few times I had a chance to run into him. It's kinda cool that he managed to make his MLB debut for my favorite NL team.
