#Royals keep same lineup vs Scherzer:Gordon 7, Escobar 6,Butler DH, Hosmer 3, Cain 8, Moustakas 5, Francoeur 9, Perez 2, Getz 4; Davis 1.— Bob Dutton (@Royals_Report) April 24, 2013
The weather is supposed to clear by the start time, but it will be cold. With the red-hot Scherzer on the mound and favorable pitching weather, Davis will likely need to pitch another great game to keep the Royals in this one.
If you are one of the people arguing that Kansas City needs to demote Mike Moustakas and Eric Hosmer, you can give up the argument for the moment. Dayton Moore did not completely rule sending the two players down, but I imagine both the players and the team would need to struggle mightily for Moore to demote either player.
Song of the Day: Slash - Back From Cali
Clark is California tonight, so I'm pinch-hitting for him. I believe his trip is business, not pleasure, but I'm dedicating this hangover-inspired song to him.
I had the opportunity to see Slash last fall when he played at the Midland. It was a very impressive performance; he played a nice mix of Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver and his solo work. Myles Kennedy was touring with Slash, which made the show even more enjoyable, since Kennedy is one of the best current lead vocalists in rock.
