A good start from Guthrie, some offense and a bullpen which held the lead. I think this is how the team drew up every win for this season.
- The Royals scored the most runs they have this season with three runs on eight base runners. Eight base runners was the lowest they have gotten on base this season with 9 on Wednesday and 10 on Monday. The Royals were able to bunch up a few of the base runners in the 5th inning. Ground out, Walk, Single, Fielder's choice, Single, Double, Ground Out.
- Guthrie was damn good. 9 K, 1 BB, 5 Hits, and only 1 Run in six innings.
- The bullpen struggled a bit. Crow gave up a couple of hits. Holland had a walk and a hit. At least Herrera locked down his inning with 2 Ks.
- The Royals hitters continue to struggle. Gordon has been the teams top hitter with a .273/.333/.455 line with second being either Francoeur at .273/.273/.273 or Perez at .250/.250/.333. As a team they are hitting a combined .182/.229/.212.
- Hacker of the game. Jarrod Dyson saw seven pitches in three plate appearances.
