MLB.TV and Blackout Rules

Last winter, my wife and I decided to cut the signal on our DirecTV account and, thereby eliminating pay TV from our household. We still have Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime so can get our fix through one of those three outlets. I realize that we are not unique in this.

Just now, I was getting ready to sign up for MLB.TV and noticed a little section, Regular Season Local Live Blackout in the U.S. and Canada. I put in my Omaha zip code and, to my horror, the Kansas City Royals were listed as a team that is subject to blackout in my area.

So, I'm using this FanPost to reach out to anyone who has had experience with this application. In the past, I've had the MLB app on my iPhone and was able to watch the Royals when they were the "Free Game of the Day", so I didn't think that a blackout would be in place. Now, I'm not so sure. Are all Royals games going to be blacked out for me? If so, I may just have to deal with Denny and Phys all season long. I'm very hesitant to pull the trigger on $129.99 if I'm going to miss all of the Royals games.
