Congratulations on the Best Game Thread Ever, fellas.

Like so many things that turn out to be awesome and unforgettable, it began as a confusing shitstorm full of sound, fury and photoshopped baseball players.

Many Royals Review regulars (myself included) were positively nonplussed at the apparent lack of a game thread for last night's Elroys vs. Rastros match, only to eventually wander into the "Photoshop For The Fate-Riven Viscera Of Your Soul" speakeasy-Fanpost. Indeed, those fans wondering "where the game thread (was)" were met with the abrupt changing of subjects and knowing winks.

For me, it was quite the experience, as I kept up with the game into the 10th inning or thereabouts, only to fall asleep (in a hospital bed on drugs) well before the momentum shifted toward one team or the other.

Little did I know that someone would create an official extra-innings game thread and that, while most would head over to this new area of game-discussion, many would stubbornly remain in the weird photoshop thread. That's kind of awesome really.

But in the newer, official extra-innings thread, one could witness some of the best, most consistent Royals Reviewing ever put to internet.

I woke up around 3am and wanted to find out how the game ended, and indeed it was awesome to learn that the Royals won.

But what was perhaps more awesome was just how friggin' fantastic and hilarious the game thread turned out to be. You must go read it if you haven't.

Maybe I'm overblowing it, I dunno. But seriously, it gave birth to this:
