.045 Is an Ugly Number

After last night's wasted outing by Yordano Ventura thanks to the horrendous Royals offense, Mike Moustakas finally raised his batting average. To a whopping .045.

Reality has set in Royals fans, Mike Moustakas is no better than he was last year. In fact, I'd say he's actually regressed. His awful plate appearances have only been one part to this terrible offense. The rest of the lineup hasn't been producing either.

Seven games into the season, and the Royals have yet to hit one over the fence. In a day and age where teams are relying more heavily on home-run hitters, this is a concerning issue for the Royals. Sure, it's great that Alcides Escobar has finally found a way to stripe balls into the outfield, but if Billy Butter is grounding into double plays, then what's the point?

Get it together Royals, because right now you suck.
