New Royals Theme Song

Okay, finished the Royals theme song written to the tune of Simon & Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence." I call this one "Bats of Silence." Now just need to get out the old guitar and add the music.

Hello darkness my old friend
Is this irrelevance again?
The ship is slowly sinking
Dayton's boys are stinking
And the vision of the playoffs that was in my brain
It was insane
With these bats of silence

Now Butler drives one to the wall
It's caught again, no home run call
At least it was not a DP
But still killed another rally
When Duffy needed just 1 more run, he got none
This game is done
Thanks to the bats of silence

And in the Kauffman stands I saw
10,000 people, maybe less
People sleeping without watching
People drinking without caring
People shouting cheers that voices never repeat
In another defeat
Disturbed by the bats of silence

"Fools," said I, "You sure will see
Yost will pinch hit Aoki
He'll do a flip yet try to swing the bat
The ball will fall into the catcher's lap
But don't fear, we always have next year
With more bats of silence

And the people up and left
That was baseball? More like theft
And the sign flashed out it's warning
Moose struck out, how boring
But Hosmer has a hit streak, he's the greatest player alive
Hear Hudler jive
And suffer through the bats of silence
