If you didn't watch tonight's game (and I can hardly say I blame you), the Spring "Framily" question of the day was particularly dumb today.
The question:
Who has had the best offensive season vs Royals pitching thus far in 2014?
A. Michael Brantley (.441 AVG, 2 HR, 6 RBI)
B. Edwin Encarnacion (.375 AVG, 4 HR, 10 RBI)
C. J.D. Martinez (.515 AVG, 4 HR, 13 RBI)
D. Mike Trout (.409 AVG, 3 HR, 4 RBI)
...
Explain to me how this is a question which would be considered an "opinion" and not just a flat out right and wrong answer?
Clearly, all four of these players have done well... But isn't there just one of them that seems like they've done better in every category thus far?
Of course, it also doesn't hurt that Martinez is against our biggest rival (one way it may be).
Just really didn't set well with me tonight. If it were just A, B or D, I could see how it could be a debate. But in this instance, C is tied in 1 category for first, and leading in the other 2. Based on this information, isn't there clearly an answer that is "right" and three answers that are "wrong"?
