Altmonte gave up 3 runs over 5. Omaha hitting: Homers from Fuentes (7th), Calixte (7th) and Martinez (8th). Martinez and Eibner continue their hot hitting. Martinez 3 for 5 at .373. Eibner .304. I think these guys should be looked at late if we have a good lead. (That doesn't mean they're in the playoffs). ESPN: Brad Ausmus says Johnny Cueto stopping in windupFunny thing happened at work. I work at the local Target and someone from the Royals came in and bought all of the balls that we sell that are meant for autographs since they are regulation balls because they didn't have any for the game today.
ForeverRanger91"The Royals’ 12.1 average rating was not just the best rating for a major-league team on a regional network, it was the best April for a regional baseball network since 2002."
Kansas City Star"I was a big part of the bullpen for most of the year. During the playoffs, you get days off so those guys could pitch every day. But during the regular season, those guys need days off and you need other guys to come in and get the job done. And I was the guy that was called on more often than not. And some of the guys that made the postseason roster weren't in the big leagues hardly at all this season, they really didn't help us get to the point where we were, so it kind of bothered me a little bit. "But I pitched poorly at the end of the year, so there's nobody to blame but myself. Going into next year, I definitely want to get better and be a part of that roster next year."
The guy is an All-Star, give him some respect!
