Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers recalled pitcher Luis Mendoza from Triple-A Oklahoma on Friday, and optioned pitcher Bill White to Single-A Bakersfield. Mendoza went down to Oklahoma on August 15, when Kevin Millwood came off the disabled list. The right-hander has had several stints with the Rangers this season, and in 14 appearances -- 11 starts -- he has posted an 8.13 earned-run average and 3-6 record. White had his contract purchased from Oklahoma on Monday after Eddie Guardado was dealt to Minnesota. White appeared in only one game and got one out. The left-hander has gone 4-1 with six saves and a 3.54 ERA in 50 relief appearances at Triple-A in 2008.
