MLB suspends, fines Tigers manager Leyland

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Major League Baseball suspended Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland three games for inappropriate conduct during the September 15th and 16th contests against the Texas Rangers.
Leyland was also fined an undisclosed amount and will begin the suspension Friday in the series opener at Cleveland.
The Tigers have underachieved to a 71-80 record this season and entered play Thursday 13 games behind the White Sox for the top spot in the AL Central.
