Mets win coin flip tie-breaker over Milwaukee

New York, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Mets won a coin flip against the Milwaukee Brewers to determine who would receive home-field advantage in a potential one-game playoff between the two teams.
The Mets currently lead the Brewers by 1 1/2 games in the NL wild card race heading into Friday's action. New York has 10 games remaining while the Brewers have only nine.
The Brewers have also lost a coin flip to the Phillies, meaning they would be on the road for any potential one-game playoffs. Should the Phillies, Mets and Brewers finish the season with the same record, Philadelphia and New York would hold a one-game playoff in Philadelphia to determine the NL East champ, and then the loser would host the Brewers for one game to determine the NL wild card.
