What do you think of Mike Maroth?

I was reading the MLB team site for Detroit Tigers and they are considering moving Mike Maroth.  He is a 5 year veteran and makes almost 3 mil/yr.  At this crazy market, that seems like a bargain.  Maroth is coming off of an injury but wasn't too bad when he was healthy.  For a KC prospective, he is used to play on really bad teams - remember he lost over 20 games a few years ago.  Could he be worse than Mark Redman at 4-5 million/yr?

how many lefties do we need?
that would give us 3 in the rotation.  Not sure how that would work.  remember our 4 lefty rotation a few yrs back, they sucked!
60% of the time it works every time!

are you trying to give JoePo column ideas? or is that more flanagan (Top O the Mornin!) to write the "Maroth Sees Simiarities" column???

If we got him, he would be our ace. Check his stats before he got injured, he was real good.

If Detroit decides to move him...
it is unusual to trade within your own division (even if the tradee is not a legit threat), isn't it?

we did it with MacDougal
...and it looks like we may have gotten hosed by the Sox.

marbotty -
in all fairness to DM, we really can't judge the MacDougal trade for a few more years, can we? Lumsden has to be given a chance to succeed or fail before we know one way or another if that trade was a win, loss, or a push.

Maroth
Maroth or Wil Ledezma would be a smart trade.  Sounds like the Tigers need a lefty maybe Gobble or Sisco?
