Buddism of the Day

Apparently Soria fits well in the closer's role because 1) he grew up in Mexico? and 2) he's got a great baseball IQ.  Great analysis BB.

From kcroyals.com: http://kansascity.royals.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070423&content_id=1926170&vkey=news_ kc&fext=.jsp&c_id=kc

"I think growing up in Mexico and playing as much baseball as he has -- playing before rabid crowds -- he learned a lot...You learn how to play pretty quick and you grow up down there. He's got the right attitude. He has a great baseball IQ."

I guess this is why there are so many
great Mexican closers in the major leagues.  Oh, that's right, there are none.

Wow
That's his reasoning. Not his fearless personality or his filthy stuff. Being Mexican makes you a good closer? That's just plain stupid.

It must be a long day
I saw the title for this post and thought "Buddhism of the day"?  Are the Royals playing well enough to be in a zen place?  Then a few seconds later...Buddy has an interesting perspective, but I'm not sure that's the enlightened wisdom.  Soria is the only reliable person out there, and the fact that he throws nasty stuff just increases that point.

Go back to sleep, Buddo.
It is not time for the dancing monkey.

Mexican... thank god, Soria isn't from Aruba.
