Gil Meche....best pitcher in MLB??

Not a crazy question. Many of you know who Lee Sinins is...he's got his own categories that define a batter's worth (RCAA - runs created above average) and pitcher's worth (RSAA - runs saved above average).

Here are the current AL rankings

1    Gil Meche             12
2    Dan Haren             11
T3   Josh Beckett           8
T3   Roy Halladay           8
T5   John Lackey            7
T5   Tim Wakefield          7
T7   Brandon Duckworth      6
T7   Rich Harden            6
T7   Ramon Ortiz            6
T7   Nate Robertson         6

Here are the NL rankings

1    Tim Hudson            11
T2   Matt Cain              9
T2   Ian Snell              9
T4   Rich Hill              8
T4   Brad Penny             8
T6   Ted Lilly              7
T6   Braden Looper          7
T6   Jake Peavy             7
T9   Mark Hendrickson       6
T9   John Maine             6
T9   Jason Marquis          6

Yes, Gil Meche is totally the best pitcher out there. I'd rather have him than chumps like Tim Hudson and Roy Halladay. Those guys are overpaid under-performers. Duckworth is awesome too.

As a team, the R's are +5 in RSAA which is light years beyond where they have been over the past many many years.

BTW, Emil Brown and Shealy are the worst offensive players according to RCAA at -8. Jalepena is -7, but he's tied with Manny.
