The Royals return home tonight, after a glorious 4-4 Road Trip through the Rust Belt, splitting in both Detroit and Cleveland. On the hill, its the currently suspended, currently appealing Runelvys Hernandez (7-9, 4.33 ERA) against Toronto's Pete Walker (3-2, 2.44 ERA).
Walker is a 35 year old journeyman who's made 30 career starts, seeing the most action in 2002, when he went 10-5, with a 4.33 ERA. Walker made his major league debut in 1995 with the Mets, just as Generation K was melting down... so maybe he can tell the Royals a thing or two about young pitchers sometimes not making it.
