Game 126 Open Thread- Royals (42-83) at Yankees (70-56)

Curt Schilling on Thursday and Randy Johnson on Friday? What gives, are we playing a series against the 2001 D'backs or something? Luckily, neither pitcher has held to their '01 form, which gives our Royals hope. Hell, they already took down Schilling last night.

Johnson's non-dominance as a Yankees has been well-documented, but it isn't like 11-8 with a 4.34 ERA is guttar trash either; clearly, he'd still be the best Royal. Lifetime against the Royals, Johnson's 12-7 with a 3.17 ERA and, umm, a save. Ok...

The Royals counter with legendary Mike Wood (4-4, 4.09), who obviously is a better pitcher than Randy Johnson...

Well, to really mess with Self Importance Nation, the Royals would be behooved to now get swept by the Yankees after taking 2 of 3 from the Sox. Let's hope not...
