Game 8 Open Thread- Royals (2-5) at Yankees (4-4)

One of the lone Royal bright spots on the mound takes the pill today against the immortal Randy Johnson at The Stadium. Denny Bautista (0-0, 1.50) allowed only one run in 6 innings against the White Sox last week, pacing the Royals to an eventual 4-3 victory.

Bautista is making his first start in NY, but has faced the Yankees twice at the K. His record? How about 2.0 IP and a 36.00 ERA.

Not good. But that was the old Bautista. Johnson meanwhile is 1-1 with a 2.50 ERA and should spend the day perpetually angry, regardless of the game results.

The Royals have allowed 21 runs already to the Yankees, so lets set a goal: hold 'em under 30 for the series.

As Dick Kagel at KC ROYALS.COM points out, Angel Berroa has torched Randy for a .444 BA in 9 ABs.

This should be one of the best games of the season, I expect nothing short of a 10-7 barnburner.
