Open Thread- Game 4 White Sox (1-3) at Royals (1-2)

On the heels of last night's incredible comeback, the Royals look for their second straight victory today against the White Sox. The Royals send Denny Bautista (2-2, 5.80 ERA in 2005) to the hill for his first start of the season, to face off against RHP Javier Vazquez (11-15, 4.42 ERA in 2005).

But about last night.

Down 6-0 early, the Royals rallied for an improbable, 11-7 comeback win, which of course is being attributed this morning to Veteran Moxie. As the AP story wrote,

It didn't take long for the Chicago White Sox to realize that the Kansas City Royals are a more experienced team this season.

Doug Mientkiewicz, Angel Berroa and John Buck had two RBIs apiece and Kansas City made up a six-run deficit in an 11-7 win over the White Sox on Friday night.

The Royals did everything right at the plate last night: drawing walks (6), picking up some steals (2), picking up 2-out RBIs (3), hitting for power (6 doubles, 1 triple) and keeping the singles rolling (3). The only down note was that the team's best player, David DeJesus, left in the 7th with a tight hamstring. Here's the wisdom from Buddisimo, "I'm not sure how serious it is," said Bell. "Hopefully, it's not as bad as the one in Arizona, when he was out 10 days or something."

In other news, Runelyvs Hernandez is losing weight, "I've lost about 17 pounds," said Hernandez on Friday, making things just about perfect.
