The Royals look to continue their hot play tonight in Cincinnati versus those pesky Reds. With a Royal win and a Pirate loss, the Royals can escape the Worst Team Cellar for the first time since... since... since I don't know how long.
The Royals send Self Appointed Team Effort Inspector Scott Elarton (3-8, 4.87 ERA) to the mound in search of his 4th win. Thanks to a dramatic 4 K, 2 BB performance on the 21st against the Pirates, Elarton is now the proud owner of more strikeouts than walks in 2006: 41 to 40. Problematically, he's already allowed 19 homers, which may grow tonight against the Great American Ballpark, a place rumored to be tater friendly.
The Reds send the great Aaron Harang (8-5, 3.59 ERA) to the bump to battle with Elarton. Its a great pitching matchup in Southern Ohio, and it should be a truly wonderful baseball game.
Remember to post your in game commentary, your thoughts on the Cleveland-Cincinnati debate and anything else here. And don't forget to vote on when the Royals will grab their 35th win!
