Is it time to become a believer in Jorge de la Rosa (2-1, 3.04 ERA)? He's struck out 18 in 4 starts, which is OK, but nothing special, but he's also only walked 5 men, which is extremely nice for a guy who's always had questions about his control. One cause for concern: opponents are hitting an unusually low .250 against him, which may or may not be sustainable.
The Mariners counter with Ho Ramirez (1-1, 6.30 ERA), a delightful young man who I know nothing about. Well, he's a former Brave and has an ERA above 6.00. Can we say "the next Dayton Moore pickup"?
