I owe Jorge de la Rosa an (albeit highly impersonal) apology: I didn't think he had this level of performance in him.
In a season where so much has gone wrong, JDLR's 3.82 ERA in 33 innings has kept the team afloat, allowing the Royals to go 2-3 in his 4 starts, with all three losses being relatively close. The BAA is a smidge below his career norm at .260, but the real key has been his control. Jorge's only walked six batters thus far.
The Royals counter with Ervin Santana (5.79 ERA).
A win sure would be nice.
