But my records indicate they were once 18-11, so I'm still trustin' that process.
- The Royals are 10-10 in games started by Zack Greinke this season. Enough said.
- OK, maybe not enough said. As slayor pointed out in the Game Thread, in Greinke starts, the Royals have scored two runs or fewer eight times. This is the lineup Dayton Moore spent two years building. There is no room to improve the roster or add payroll, and there are no hitting prospects close to being ready. Other than that, the future still looks bright. Just look at how Atlanta's done in the years when Moore's player development system really came to fruition. If you can consistently build a .490 team in the NL, I take notice.
- For a guy who is supposed to do all the blessed little things well: Willie Bloomquist doesn't actually do many little things well. His baserunning error tonight cost the Royals a run, and he's been personally responsible for at least two DeJesus caught stealings on failed hit and runs.
