The topic of the day is Joe Mauer's mysterious injury and the fate of the Twins, who already had enough problems. When Mauer signed his massive contract with Minnesota, there was considerable elation that he would be staying with his home team. Even the normally objective saber/blog community was thrilled, as we were all fresh off of the Poz led Mauer Power MVP campaign. I thought the contract was a fairly big risk and that the downsides of the deal weren't being talked about enough. You can read what I wrote here.
