Kansas City Royals Promote Louis Coleman to the Major Leagues

New, 74 comments

Reportedly, the Royals have called reliever Louis Coleman to the Major Leagues. I'm still trying to track down who reported this first, as well as who he will replace on the roster. But hey, Johnny Giavotella has tweeted it. It's time for Blake Wood to start getting nervous. As Jeff wrote yesterday, the Royal bullpen has started to wobble a little, so Coleman could help stabilize and even strengthen the group out in the outfield.

Update: The odd man out is Kanekoa Texeira

Coleman, a 5th round draft pick in 2009, has been absurdly dominant in AAA this season, striking out 16 batters in just 7 innings. Coleman is the 22nd ranked prospect in the Royals organization, according to Darren's RR rankings.
