First, I wish everyone in the local area was safe over the last few days from the storms that have hit the region. I know that is not the case as our neighbors are dealing with 3 deaths in their immediate family (a father and 2 young kids). I know that sports is not in the front of minds of many local people right now, nor should it be. Maybe the Royals game tonight though can give a needed break to the survivors and emergency workers from the recent devastation.
