Duffy and Treanor Lead Royals to 4-2 Victory

 Quick hits

  • The first two batters Duffy faced reached base by being hit and walked. They both came around to score for the only two runs the White Sox scored all game. Duffy pitched a great game after the first inning for a final line of 6 K, 2 BB, 2 R, 1 HBP, 5 hits.
  • Holland and Soria each did not allow a run in an inning's worth of work.
  • Matt Treanor had the clutch hit of the game in the bottom of 6th with a single that drove in Butler and Frenchy.
  • The Royals were horrible on the bases, again. Gordon and Cabrera got mixed up on a double steal where Gordon didn't go and was eventually tagged out. Getz was caught going on a pick off to 1st base. It is like this team is channeling the base running power of DeJesus and Aviles.
  • Cabrera hit a nice line drive home run.
