Royals Still Alive in Mythical September Best Record Race, Actually, No They Aren't

Here are the best American League records in September:

  1. Detroit: 18-6
  2. Texas: 17-6
  3. Royals: 15-8
  4. New York: 16-10
  5. Tampa Bay: 15-10

I thought they could still catch Detroit when I started writing this post, but actually, they can't. And the shame of it! They are in the same division.
