Luke Hochevar gives us starts like this from time to time and each time it feels like something new has dawned. Tonight he struck out eight, walked just one, and allowed only three hits against a not great but not terrible Indians team fighting for their lives.

Offensively, just about everyone chipped in, with only Francoeur -- God bless him -- recording more than one hit. Johnny Giavotella homered.

All in all, a nice night of playing spoiler, though very few are still following the Royals at this point.
