Quick Hits:

  • Duffy was Duffy. He got a few strikeouts (4), walked a few batters (3) and threw way too many pitches(119) in 6.1 innings of work. 15 first pitch strikes out of 26 batters he faced will not cut it.
  • Hosmer's and Francoeur's home runs were back to back in the 2nd. Also they each had a stolen base.
  • Gordon and Cabrera were the only players to not get a hit. Gordon was able to get 2 RBIs on a fielder's choice and a bases loaded walk.
  • Soria and Wood, even though they only allowed 1 run, looked rough out of the bullpen. In 2.2 IP, they allowed 3 hits and 2 walks. Soria walked in a batter he inherited from Wood in the ninth.
