With the sputtering Indians trying desperately to hold onto first place after having been swept by hard-charging Pale Hoes in Chicago over the weekend, the Royals look to crush the hopes and dreams of the Cleveland nine in one three-game swoop. For motivation, the Royals--ever concerned with thwarting racial insensitivity and brimming with patriotic fervor--have decided that the best way to honor the Indigenous persons of North America who have fallen in service of these United States of America would be to defeat their divisional rival on their home turf and to embarrass a team for whom racial insensitivity is worn proudly on its sleeve (and occasionally head).

Happy Memorial Day.
