At high noon today, the powers that be of Major League Baseball will unveil the rosters for the 2012 All Star Game.
Full disclosure: I may have voted.
Full disclosure, Part 2: In the past, I haven't given a damn about which Royal gets in the All-Star Game. When your team's recent All-Star past has included stellar ballplayers like Ken Harvey and Mark Redman, and you only get one rep in the game, you tend to get a bit jaded about the process.
Anyway, this year it's different for me. For starters, the game is at Kauffman Stadium. I'd like the Royals to be well represented since it's at our park and everything. Plus, I think you can make a case for several Royals this year. Not sure when the last time was where we could make that statement. Billy Butler, Mike Moustakas and Alcides Escobar all have solid arguments. Personally, I don't want a reliever to go, but Jonathan Broxton has the numbers managers love.
So with just a couple hours to go, who is your All-Star for the Royals?
Poll time!
Sadly, you can only vote for one, but we'll pretend the top three make it.
