Game 112 Open Thread - Kansas City Royals (48-63) vs. Baltimore Orioles (60-52)

It is depressing watching the Orioles and Pirates have successful seasons this year.

I mean, its great to see someone in contention other than your typical Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies, Cardinals, Braves, but god, do you remember when even we thumbed our nose at the Pirates and Orioles? Yea, we sucked as bad as they did, but we had a great minor league system! Our owner was finally willing to spend some money! We didn't have an incompetent GM like David Littlefield or an impossible owner like Peter Angelos! Pittsburgh and Baltimore were doomed! Things were looking up in Kansas City!

Memories.
