The Royals won a great pitching duel. Each starter did not allow a run over 8 IPand the game was decided by the bullpens in extras when Francoeur scored on a Hosmer single.

Highlights:

  • Royals got on base 6 times. The Rays only 5 times. It seemed like less.
  • Herrera with his first career Win. The Win stat is straight up dumb if it thinks Herrera is the one player that deserve the W tonight.
  • Perez picked off Joyce at 1B in the 1st inning.
  • Hacker of the game: Butler saw 11 pitches in 4 PAs.
  • Finally, congrats to Moustakas on his second career golden sombrero.
