#Royals manager Ned Yost says Alex Gordon pulled because of minor back stiffness. Says "1 percent" concerned.

Pitchers to throw:
Chris Dwyer

J.C. Gutierrez

Here are the velocity values from the first 3 games. For reference, fastball speeds stabilize quickly and spring training values are on average 0.6 mph slower than the regular season. Finally, thanks to brooksbaseball.net for the 2013 spring training Pitchf/x values.

Mendoza - no recordings. Radar readings didn't start recording until Lamb's last pitch on Sunday.

John Lamb - No useful Pitchf/x data, but several scouts recorded his speeds and they were off from his pre-TJS values. J.J. Cooper at Baseball America has a nice write up on Lamb.

Kelvin Herrera - besides Lamb, this value is the most concerning. Will continue to monitor in spring training.
