Cactus League Game Six - Open Thread

The Curse of Robert Ford has finally been lifted. The Royals are never losing again

USA TODAY Sports

Why is everyone talking about the Chiefs? The Royals are still UNDEFEATED in the Cactus League!

Kansas City hosts the Milwaukee Brewers in Surprise, AZ this afternoon. Contain your excitement

Here is the Royals starting lineup:

1. Alex Gordon (L) LF
2. Alcides Escobar (R) SS
3. Eric Hosmer (L) 1B
4. Billy Butler (R) DH
5. Jeff Francoeur (R) RF
6. Mike Moustakas (L) 3B
7. George Kottaras (L) C
8. Chris Getz (L) 2B
9. Jarrod Dyson (L) CF

Gordon is back in the lineup after missing the past two games with back spasms.

Luke Hochevar starts the game, with Bruce Chen in relief. I wish this indicated the Royals were preparing for a Chen-Hochevar two-headed monster for the Royals final spot in the rotation, but that will never happen. Tim Collins, Kelvin Herrera, Louis Coleman, Michael Mariot, Francisley Bueno and Blaine Boyer are also scheduled to pitch.

The Royals currently have the highest batting average in the majors at a scorching .356 average. The team also has the fifth-lowest ERA at 3.20. I think I could live with those numbers at the end of the season.

The game is not on 610 today, so only those with a GameDay Audio Subscription can listen.
