#Royals planning to have RHP Wade Davis skip a start because of shoulder soreness.
— Bob Dutton (@Royals_Report) March 8, 2013
As Aaron Greeman of NBC notes:
It might prove to be a minor thing, but Davis hasn’t started a game since September of 2011 (and was never particularly effective as a starter anyway) and spent time on the disabled list with shoulder problems in 2010.
No signs pointed to Davis having injury issues. His velocity was fine. The only issue I could spot was in May and June last year when he had an inconsistent delivery and problems finding the strike zone.
I will look into him more later.
