Game 20 Open Thread - Cleveland vs. Kansas City

The Scott Kazmir Experiment can't end well for Cleveland, but could be a good band name.

Jamie Squire

The Kansas City Royals will use the same lineup against the Cleveland Indians tonight against Scott Kazmir that they planned to use last night. Bob Dutton brings us tonight's lineup:

Miguel Tejada playing consistently against left-handed pitching may be the Royals current best option at third base, given Mike Moustakas' struggles. It would be disappointing to turn Moose into a platoon player at this point in his career, but as long as the team is in contention, the best possible lineup needs to take the field.

I'm not sure the Royals best possible lineup will ever include Elliot Johnson.

Jason Giambi still plays professional baseball, and will serve as Cleveland's designated hitter today. Beat writer Nick Camino tweeted out the Indians' lineup earlier.

Jason Kipnis and Asdrubal Cabrera, the team's 2-3 hitters, have really struggled on the season. Cabrera is hitting .156/.229/.281, while Kipnis owns a .170/.237/.226 triple slash line.

Song of the Day: Caspian - Some are White Light

I don't have a particularly good reason to pick this song, other than I post-rock is awesome and I'm in a relaxed mood. "Some are White Light" is the second song off The Four Trees, a truly stellar debut album. May the ambiance sooth you no matter the outcome of the game.
