Finally, baseball returns to The K

Welcome home.
Welcome home.

If you've been monitoring Twitter today, you know the #BooGarth movement is in full swing. Make this happen and we can really do things. Like dismantle the outfield carousel.

Lineup:
Alex Gordon - LF
Alcides Escobar - SS
Billy Butler - DH
Mike Moustakas - 3B
Salvador Perez - C
Eric Hosmer - 1B
Jeff Francoeur - RF
Lorenzo Cain - CF
Chris Getz - 2B

Ervin Santana - SP

Back to the normal lineup after the National League Mickey Mouse.

Items of note:

-- The Royals have yet to make an error in the field. That's 201 chances. Insert joke about Francoeur's limited range here. Yes, errors aren't a good way to measure the quality of defense. The Royals rank 26th in defensive efficiency which is a measure of turning balls into play into outs. In other words, don't believe the hype. Again.

-- The team is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Kauffman (formerly Royals) stadium. I have some old blueprints and artist renderings from before they broke ground. I posted a few pics a long, long time ago. I should do it again.

-- The over/under on Santana home runs allowed today is at 2.5.
