Ned Yost is leading off Alcides Escobar. Off the nine players in the lineup, Escobar might be the second-worst option at leadoff. With how the Royals have been playing recently, they will probably win 9-3 and Escobar will hit for the cycle.
Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star brings us the Royals starting lineup:
#Royals vs. Bos LHP Doubront: Escobar 6, Hosmer 3, Butler DH, Gordon 7, Maxwell 9, Tejada 4, Moustakas 5, Hayes 2, Dyson 8 and Guthrie 1.

In other news, the Royals placed Lorenzo Cain on the 15-day DL and designated Francisley Bueno for assignment. Donnie Joseph and Will Smith have been called up to replace the pair on the 25-man roster.
Cain's is sidelined with a strained left oblique. The outfielder has battled the oblique injury for a few days, and these type of injuries seem to linger. Hopefully Cain just needs some time off and can return quickly, but given his injury history, there's reason to be nervous.
Will Middlebrooks returns to Boston, and will hit ninth. The third baseman battled contact issues earlier this season, which earned him a demotion to Triple-A:
Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe presents the Red Sox batting order:
#RedSox: Ellsbury CF Victorino RF Pedroia 2B Ortiz DH Carp LF Napoli 1B Saltalamacchia C Drew SS Middlebrooks 3B and Doubront (8-5, 3.56)

FSKC will carry the game, so the MLB.TV people should be able to watch it without any blackout issues.
Song of the Day: The Who - Eminence Front
A great track off a not particularly good album, "Eminence Front" is one of my favorite songs by The Who. It also makes me think of the show The Americans, as it appeared on the commercials for the series.
