ALCS Game 1 Overflow #4: Royals 5, Orioles 5, End of 9th

Bases loaded, no outs in the top of the ninth? Nothing. Free baseball.

The Royals loaded the bases in the top of the ninth, thanks entirely to Zach Britton's inability to throw a strike. With Eric Hosmer at the plate, Britton maybe sort of started throwing strikes, inducing a grounder to Steve Pearce at first, who came home with the throw for the first out of the inning.

Baltimore's closer got lifted at this point for submarine-righty Darren O'Day. O'Day faced Billy Butler, who grounded into a double play and got the Orioles out of a no-out, bases-juiced jam without any runs scoring.

Wade Davis held the Orioles scoreless for the eighth and ninth innings.

It's a Royals postseason game, so obviously that means free baseball.
