ALCS Game 3 Overflow Thread #1: Baltimore Orioles 1, Kansas City Royals 0, End 3rd

Wei-Yin Chen and the Orioles hold a narrow one-run lead heading into the fourth inning.

It's been all Chen so far.

After a perfect first, the Orioles got to Jeremy Guthrie in a tense second frame. Starting with a one-out Steve Pearce double, the Orioles had three straight baserunners reach--J.J. Hardy doubled, and Ryan Flaherty walked. Guthrie escaped thanks to a fly-ball out off the bat of Nick Hundley and a shallow pop-up in foul territory near first from the dastardly Jonathan Schoop.

Nick Markakis singled with a blooper up the left field foul line to start off the third. Thankfully for the Royals' faithful, he was stranded at first.

On the Royals side of things, the offense has mostly sputtered thus far against the crafty southpaw Wei-Yin Chen, with only Lorenzo Cain reaching on a two-out infield single in the first.

In the third, Omar Infante led off with a line drive single to shallow left center. Unfortunately Mike Moustakas chopped a grounder to Jonathan Schoop erasing both the lead-off single and himself.

On to the fourth we go. This game is an fWAR!
