The Giants got on the board first without a hit thanks to some Royal-esque baserunning by the pesky Gregor Blanco. But the Royals piled on four runs in the third, knocking out pitcher Ryan Vogelsong, without any hits that went further than a bloop single by Salvador Perez. The big play was when Eric Hosmer beat out a grounder to first baseman Brandon Belt with two outs when Ryan Vogelsong failed to cover first in time. Infield singles, walks, bloopers, the Royals are Royalling their way to a championship and no one can stop them.
Bruce Bochy slammed his hat in the Giants dugout. Ned Yost may be in his dome.
