Royals-Giants Game 4 Overflow Thread #2

We're all tied 4-4 after five innings.

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

The Royals took a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the third, but the Giants proved to be just as pesky as the Royals. An RBI single by Buster Posey made it a 4-2 game in the third. But the Giants knocked starting pitcher Jason Vargas out of the game in the fifth after Joe Panik led the inning off with a double. Jason Frasor would induce a ground-out, but a single by Hunter Pence (past Alcides Escobar who seemed to be out of position) would make it a 4-3 game.

Danny Duffy then came in and struggled with his command, giving up a single to Pablo Sandoval and walking Brandon Belt. Duffy would be bailed out by Jarrod Dyson who made an AMAZING catch on a Juan Perez fly ball, but Hunter Pence would tag and score to make it a 4-4 game.

At this rate, we should be here til midnight, so get comfy, we may be here awhile.
