Royals-Angels Game Two Starting Lineups

THROW FIRE

Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

We have starting lineups for tonight's game!

First, the visiting good guys. Same lineup as last night:

SS Alcides Escobar
RF Nori Aoki (L)
CF Lorenzo Cain
1B Eric Hosmer (L)
DH Billy Butler
LF Alex Gordon (L)
C Salvador Perez
2B Omar Infante
3B Mike Moustakas (L)

RHP Yordano Ventura

The Angels go with the same lineup as they did in Game One:

LF Kole Calhoun (L)
CF Mike Trout
1B Albert Pujols
2B Howie Kendrick
3B David Freese
SS Erick Aybar (S)
LF Josh Hamilton (L)
DH C.J. Cron
C Chris Iannetta

RHP Matt Shoemaker

Perhaps a bit surprising as Josh Hamilton looked so bad last night. Left-fielder Collin Cowgill, who was very good defensively this year, probably saves the Angels at least a run last night. But Scioscia will go with his veterans, despite the fact Hamilton looked completely lost at the plate last night.

Ventura has faced the Angels once this year, giving up two runs in four innings of work on June 28 in a 6-2 Angels win.

Matt Shoemaker has given up 11 runs in 9 innings of work against the Royals this year, including getting roughed up in a June 27 start.

Get ready for the game with this terrific breakdown at Fangraphs on how the Royals pitched to Mike Trout.

Game time is at 8:30 on TBS. Will someone keep Cal Ripken awake this time?
