ALDS Game 2 Overflow #2: KC 1, LA 1, Top 7

Tied up at one apiece. Heading to the top of the seventh.

Lighting up the gun.
Lighting up the gun.

Yordano Ventura worked around a scare in the fifth--with runners on first and second and no outs, and then again with a runner on third after a double play--but got into a jam in the sixth when Pujols came up with two on and two outs and singled before Ventura got out of the inning.

Josh Hamilton inadvertently hit Salvador Perez in the head on the back-end of a whiff, but thus far Salvador Perez has remained in the game.

Ventura has spent the evening making the Angels, particularly Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton, look very foolish at the plate.

For his part, Matt Shoemaker has quelled nearly every Royals' rally attempt. Shoemaker has certainly had some help from Bob Chris Guccione, the home plate ump whose strike zone (and I am not a strike zone complainer) has been wildly inconsistent. Ventura's had some help, too, but some called strikes on Royals' batsmen have been shockingly questionable. Someone with better internetting skills will surely highlight this tomorrow.
