Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at Royals Review! We hope you get to enjoy time with loved ones, a feast o' plenty, and bad football on TV.
We have a lot of Royals-related things to be thankful for this year. I am thankful Salvador Perez is a delight and is signed through the end of the decade at a ridiculously cheap deal. I am thankful Yordano Ventura can throw fire and still have an arm attached to his body. I am thankful for HDH, the only bullpen/law firm that GETS RESULTS. I am thankful for Lorenzo Cain's amazing glove. I am thankful for Jarrod Dyson's legs and dance moves. I am thankful for my biggest man-crush since Bo Jackson, my love for Alex Gordon. I am thankful for the comedic relief of Nori Aoki. I am thankful for the wise words of RauI Ibanez. I am thankful for the wonderful services of James Shields and Billy Butler, but also thankful they are departing. I am even thankful for the stewardship of Dayton Moore. But most of all I am thankful we are hanging up a new flag at Kauffman Stadium, one that reads "2014 AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS."
Here is your Off-Day Thanksgiving Day thread:
1. What are your Thanksgiving Day plans? Did you travel? Are you hosting? Cooking? What time can we come over?
2. What is a holiday tradition this time of your that you or your family always engage in?
3. Yasmany Tomas signed with the Diamondbacks for 6 years, $68 million. Would you have matched that for the Royals?
4. What Royals-related things are you thankful for?
BONUS: The holiday season is typically when some of the best movies come out. Is there any particularly film or films you are looking forward to?
BONUS TOO: Cranberry sauce, or nah?
