Well, I had some big news to announce today, but Dayton Moore had to bump it off the front page. CONSPIRACY.
#Royals announce Mike Moustakas has been optioned to Omaha.

BOOM. Yosted.
Moustakas was hitting .152/.223/.320 in 139 plate appearances for the Royals this year. Since the 2012 All-Star Break, Moose has hit .218/.269/.345.
There is no word on a corresponding roster move. Danny Valencia has been playing third base more and more so he will be the starter going forward. Omar Infante is eligible to come off the disabled list today, so one presumes his return necessitated the roster move.
Are you relieved? Will we ever see Moose in Kansas City again?
UPDATE: Josh Vernier of 610 reports that Jimmy Paredes has been recalled from Omaha, so I presume Infante is not healthy enough to return to action.
#Royals ship Moose to Omaha. Paredes is back. Moose received the warning last week. Hammer dropped today.
